Artists and Printing

    Centuri used a mixtured of processes for the artwork on there arcade cabinets from printed vinyl to silk screened artwork. Artwork was done both in house with Centuri's own artists and also by designers who worked for Willis and Dodd Printers Inc in Miami. Willis did all silk screening for Centuri as well as producing replacement artwork of simlair style. Dodd printers did all of Centuri's vinyl artwork excluding anything they were able to do in house.

The "R" Type Vinyl Full Piece

    There full sized "R"" type vinyl artwork, is actually multiple pieces artwork that is overlayed to create the full piece. Its a good tip if you are buying a cabinet, because reproduction art tends to be created as a single piece. The Centuri Swimmer cabinet had the most artwork to date, pretty much every blank space on the cabinet had vinyl artwork added. This was followed closely by Time Pilot.

Conversions & Variants

    A few of Centuri's games were failed cabinets from other manufacturers, artwork to those cabinets tended to be custom vinyl specfic to the unit. For example Tunnel Hunt was an Atari cabinet so the artwork shape was unique to that. Centuri started to Licence some of its Konami games in a Conversion form, so the artwork was standardized to fit any cabinet in the hope to make more coins. Games such as Mikie, Circus Charlie, Guzzler.

    Some also had silk screened artwork, which tended to be of a simpler design, unlike the vinyl artwork that could carry more detail. Games such as Aztarac, Gyruss, Killer Comet, Munchmobile and some early versions of Eagle all had silk screened sideart. In addition to this some of there promotional cabinets also came silk screened. All of the silk screening was completed by a company called Willis.

    Centuri Cocktail tables came with artwork thats was reverse screen printed onto the glass tops of each machine. They tended to keep the control panel on the cocktail tables clear so should be just be shiney steel looking. Centuri made the following cocktail tables, Circus Charlie, Track & Field, Pleiades, Rip-Off, Round-Up, Targ and Vanguard, although in cocktail form Vanguard was licenced by Centuri to Cinematronics INc.
